through AfroStory and its related technical services.
This license is limited to operating, maintaining,
promoting, improving, and providing the AfroStory
service and does not transfer ownership of your content
to AfroStory.

to upload and distribute their content through
AfroStory.

original graphics, software, code, and other platform
materials are owned by or licensed to AfroStory unless
otherwise stated.
Except where permitted by law or expressly authorized by
AfroStory, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute,

protected AfroStory materials.
Content uploaded by independent creators remains subject
to the rights of those creators and any applicable
third-party rights.
07.

08. Advertising
AfroStory may be supported by advertising and may use
advertising services including Google advertising
products such as Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager,
as well as other advertising or monetization services
used by the platform.
Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized
depending on the advertising service, user settings,
applicable law, and consent requirements.
Information about cookies, advertising technologies,
third-party advertising services, and available privacy
choices is described in our
Privacy Policy
.
AfroStory does not guarantee that advertisements will
always be available, relevant, or displayed to every user.
09.
Advertising Integrity and Invalid Activity
Users must not intentionally manipulate advertising
activity, impressions, clicks, or other advertising
measurements in a way that could create artificial traffic
or advertising activity.
-
Do not click your own advertising for the purpose of
generating revenue or artificial activity.
-
Do not use automated tools, bots, scripts, or deceptive
methods to generate advertising impressions or clicks.
-
Do not encourage or organize artificial clicks or
impressions on non-rewarded advertising inventory.
-
Do not attempt to manipulate advertising measurement,
attribution, or reporting.
Google and other advertising providers may independently
detect and filter invalid activity. AfroStory may also
investigate or restrict activity that appears fraudulent
or abusive.
10. Rewarded Advertising and Episode Unlocks
AfroStory may provide optional rewarded-advertising
features through third-party advertising providers.
These features may allow eligible users to receive an
episode unlock or other platform reward after completing
an eligible rewarded advertising experience.
A reward or episode unlock is subject to the successful
completion of the relevant advertising experience and
AfroStory's server-side validation and eligibility checks.
Cancelling, closing, interrupting, or otherwise failing
to complete an eligible rewarded advertisement may result
in the associated reward or unlock not being issued.
AfroStory may limit, reject, reverse, or investigate
rewards or unlocks associated with duplicate claims,
fraudulent activity, technical abuse, account violations,
or other activity that does not satisfy the applicable
reward conditions.
Reward availability may vary according to advertising
inventory, provider availability, account eligibility,
geographic availability, technical conditions, and other
factors outside AfroStory's direct control.
11.
Episode Access, Coins, and Platform Rewards
AfroStory may provide platform-specific coins, credits,
rewards, unlocks, or other forms of digital access for use
within the service.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these digital items are
platform features rather than cash, deposits, bank balances,
securities, or legal tender. They do not create a right to
withdraw money from AfroStory unless AfroStory expressly
provides such a feature under separate terms.
AfroStory may modify, suspend, or discontinue a particular
reward, coin, unlock, or access mechanism where reasonably
necessary to operate the service, address abuse, comply with
provider requirements, or respond to technical or legal
changes.
12.
Third-Party Services and Links
AfroStory may integrate or link to third-party services,
including authentication, advertising, analytics, hosting,
media, and other technology providers.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and
privacy policies. AfroStory is not responsible for the
independent practices of third parties outside AfroStory's
control.
Users should review the applicable third-party terms and
privacy information before using third-party services.
13.
Service Availability and Changes
We aim to keep AfroStory available and reliable, but we do
not guarantee that the platform will always be available,
uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.
Features, content, advertising availability, creator
functionality, rewards, integrations, and other aspects of
AfroStory may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be
discontinued when reasonably necessary.
Scheduled maintenance, technical failures, provider
outages, network conditions, security incidents, and events
outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
14.
Suspension and Termination
AfroStory may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an
account or particular features where reasonably necessary
because of a violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or
abuse, security concerns, legal requirements, provider
requirements, or other circumstances affecting the safe
operation of the platform.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may provide
notice before taking action. Immediate action may be taken
where necessary to protect users, the platform, third parties,
or comply with legal or security requirements.
Users may stop using AfroStory and may request account
deletion subject to applicable procedures and legal
retention requirements.
15.

is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis.

uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or continuously
available.
We also do not guarantee the availability, accuracy,
suitability, legality, or reliability of third-party
content, advertisements, integrations, or services.
16.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AfroStory
and its operators will not be liable for indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive
damages arising from or related to your use of the service,
including loss of data, loss of profits, interruption of
service, or reliance on third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that
cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17.
User Responsibility and Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are
responsible for your use of AfroStory and for content you
submit. Where legally permitted, you agree to reasonably
cooperate with AfroStory in addressing claims arising from
your unlawful use of the service, violation of these Terms,
or infringement of another person's rights.
18.
Governing Law

of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection,
privacy, or other legal rights that apply to you in your
jurisdiction.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms will be
handled through the courts or other lawful dispute-resolution
mechanisms having appropriate jurisdiction, subject to
applicable law.
19.
Changes to These Terms
AfroStory may update these Terms from time to time to
reflect changes to the platform, services, technology,
legal requirements, or third-party integrations.
When material changes are made, we may provide notice
through the website, account interface, email, or another
appropriate communication method where required.
The "Last Updated" date at the beginning of these Terms
indicates the current version.
20.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be
invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be
interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary,
and the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the
extent permitted by law.
21.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the AfroStory Privacy Policy and
any additional terms specifically presented for particular
services or features, constitute the applicable agreement
governing your use of AfroStory to the extent permitted by
law.
